About Me: I'm a college undergrad and English major (go figure). I spend most of my time here and there around New England, but I travel whenever I can. I don't do much other than read or write, but I've been caught drawing and singing upon occasion. Other favorite activities of mine include alcoholic misanthropy and sassing people who deserve a little lip.
What I Read: I'm being slowly pulled backwards through time and it's been conjectured that by the time I graduate I'll have wound up with a medieval studies minor. For now, however, I'm clinging to the Renaissance like one half-drowned to a buoy. Don't worry, though, I'm not completely without modern influence. Every now and again I can convince myself to read a novel over epic poetry or a morality play.
What I Write: Someday, maybe, I'll pull off something truly magnificent, but for now I just dabble in poetry and wrestle with short stories. I've been told my style is "simultaneously ancient and fresh." Like new leaves on the oldest of trees, I suppose. This really is, however, an invitation to judge for yourself.
What I'm Looking For: My greatest longing is for a coterie of my own. I think community is necessary among writers for one really can't hone the craft as a recluse. Whether you are young or old, a poet or a novelist, a fan of fantasy or non-fiction, I don't really care. I'm just looking for people who are dedicated to improving their skill and want to build a community (and friendships) to this end.
Final Note: Literature exists to change minds, create awareness, and ignite social change. Literature must serve to work for the betterment of mankind while preserving the lessons of our flaws. These are goals the disciples of the written word must all strive to achieve, for we, truly, are the core of culture and we carry the weight of the world on our shoulders.
